 Pod [n. a long-seeded vessel] Films [..a motion picture – film v. to make a film ( of a story etc)] Ltd [ = limited liability company]is an adventurous little production company, making compact movies (aka pod films) with unlimited horizons and big ideas.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 We are: Director, Dave Young [m. multi-media photographer: features for The Guardian, Independent, Observer, TIME and Conde Nast Traveller; ad campaigns for Channel 4, Five, Schweppes, Malibu, First Choice, Husqvarna, National Rail and British Gas]. www.daveyoung.co.uk Dave brings fifteen years experience shooting documentary features and national ad campaigns using his unique visual style.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  He is equally at home working with non-professional talent, models, actors or famous faces to produce strong, memorable films of any length. Producer, Lesley Gillilan [f. award-winning journalist – Telegraph, Guardian, Independent etcetera - media consultant, author, all-round creative ideas person]. Lesley has the rare ability to identify the story that fits with the zeitgeist of the times.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             She is highly organised and has superb research and casting skills. We like – to use leading, award-winning creatives from across the industry including: Jason Porthouse - Unflappable Emmy award-winning editor with TV credits for HBO, BBC, ITV and Discovery in the UK, US and Europe. Also ‘Wassup” TV advert for Budweiser and corporate clients including Sony, Cable & Wireless and Tescos. Andrew Dickson - Former European Composer of the Year.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Andrew was Mike Leigh’s composer on: Vera Drake, All or Nothing, Secrets & Lies, Someone Else’s America, Naked, High Hopes & Meantime. Our first film Prod, a 3-Minute Wonder, quickly became a film-festival classic (featured on C4’s 25th anniversary showreel at the BFI).
